It is not uncommon for random men to write on social media claiming that sportswomen can’t match the caliber of the men in their respective sports. While this is a bit uninformed and a lot more prejudicial, the female sport stars rarely choose to confront the offenders.
Recently though, one such incident happened involving the LPGA Stars and they did not move on quietly this time. Charley Hull initially raised a challenge to the guy, and now one of her fellow LPGA golfers has stepped out in her support.
The betting pool is now open: Michelle Wie West and her 20

Golf coach Lou Stagner recently posted a tweet sharing a screenshot of a guy who DM’ed him. The guy claimed in his message that he is a 3-handicapper. He further boasted that he could make every cut and be in the top 20 if he played on the LPGA Tour.
Implying that the LPGA stars, being women, were subpar to average male golfers triggered fans and players alike. The upset fans, as they usually do, rewarded the guy generously. And on behalf of the players, Charley Hull spoke up. She challenged the guy to a round of golf. She kindly offered him the red tees (shorter distance) and agreed to take up the whites (longer distance) for herself.
Now, the recent update is that Michelle Wie West has shared a post that explains the exchange and captioned it: “I’ll put 20 on @charley.hull.” Looks like West is as eager as the many fans who hope that a clash actually happens. However, the mystery messenger has not responded to the challenge yet.

It might be disappointing if this amounts to nothing at all. If the guy does not take up the challenge, we hope he at least taunts back so that he gets some more.
Let’s get some context on why the ‘3-handicapper’ felt like sending that DM to Lou Stagner.

The twenty-dollar question: What started this?
As mentioned earlier, Lou Stagner is a golf coach and regularly shares his observations about golf stats and general analytics about the sport. People respond to his observations from time to time. The mystery here is that when he shared the DM’s screenshot, he didn’t mention what the DM was in response to — at least not in the tweet. But let’s try our hand at decoding this.
The first line of the message read, “What do you think of this tweet? This is ridiculous.” So we can conclude that the message was in response to a tweet. Most probably Stagner’s tweet. One look at Stagner’s timeline and you will notice the two tweets prior to this one could be possible candidates for our case.

One talks about a player’s stats for the last 20 rounds, where they scored an average of 78.2 per round. The player has a 0.0 index. The other tweet talks about 277 yards being the PGA Tour’s second-last ranking distance. We can only guide you so far. Let us know if you can find a connection. There may or may not be one.
