The prominence of Tiger Woods isn’t confined to golf itself. Several celebrity artists and athletes have gushed over the legendary golfer, while many have shared a stage with the 47-year-old.

Woods’ latest brainchild, the tech-infused TGL series, is the perfect example. The league is already on the agenda of numerous celebrities, many of whom share a healthy friendship with the golfer. Among them is MLB star Mike Trout, and how his intention of purchasing a stake is returning a favor bestowed by Woods himself.

Does Mike Trout owe Tiger Woods one?

For the unversed, the eleven-time MLB All-Star is a huge golf fanatic. Trout is engulfed in golf so much that he has set his sights on the sport in alternate endeavors, which includes a dream course.

Indeed, constructions for the ‘Trout Reserve’ are already underway as we speak. Set in Vineland in southern New Jersey, the 18-hole championship-level golf course will be accompanied by a state-of-the-art clubhouse, five-star stays, and a wedding chapel.

But importantly, the course will be designed by none other than Tiger Woods himself. The 47-year-old is expected to work closely with his TGR Design group, a venture by the golfer himself, which specializes in building golf courses, and Trout himself.

“Just having Tiger design a course and have it your own, it’s pretty special, and I cannot wait till it opens,” the three-time American League MVP once said in a video interaction.

Does Mike Trout plan to buy a team at Woods’ TGL?

Still reeling after the sudden $3 billion merger that ill-effected Tiger Woods, the TGL series is expected to be a bumper affair for all parties concerned. Those include a long list of celebrities who have invested in the venture, which includes Mike Trout as well.

While the buzz has been around for a while, the league will commence in January next year. TMRW Sports, under which the TGL series has been registered, has started announcing team names and their owners.

With Trout’s investment, he could be likely handed a franchise team in TGL soon. While the die-hard golf enthusiast will be elated, it will also serve as a thanking gift to Woods.
