Last year in the month of March, Korda made public her struggle with a blood clot in her wrist. Despite undergoing surgery to address the issue, the persistent pain continued to trouble her. This enduring discomfort, combined with ongoing back pain, has had a detrimental impact on her performance. The pain was so severe that she had no choice but to withdraw from the inaugural Mizuho Americas Open held this year.

Despite Korda’s earnest endeavors and determination while competing, she has been unable to secure a victory in any LPGA tournaments this year. Her aspirations to shine at significant events such as the Amundi Evian Championship, US Women’s Open, Cognizant Founder’s Cup, and others have not yielded the desired outcomes. Adding to her challenges, her ranking dropped to number 2 after the AIG Women’s Open, with Lilia Vu taking over the top spot following her triumph.
