Two or three years ago, the name Min Woo Lee didn’t ring any bells in the heads of golf fans. But now things have changed. Of late, the Australian golfer has been garnering a lot of attention from the fans. And with his ongoing brilliant performance at the Players Championship, he’s the rage of the golf world at the moment. His sudden burst of popularity has raised many questions among fans about him. The most common of them are about his personal life and who’s a part of it. So stick with us as we dive into the 24-year-old’s family.
The heads of the Lee family
Lee gets his Korean roots from both his parents, who were from there. And the golf pro seems to have walked in both their footsteps with his career choice. His father, Soonam Lee, is an avid golfer too. And it’s not just a hobby to him either; the golf enthusiast plays off a single handicap. And back in Korea, during his prime days, he played the sport at a high level.

The rising golf star’s mother, Clara Lee, too, had a hand in golf. She used to be a teaching professional of driving age. It seems like golf runs in the Lee family bloodline! Soonam and Clara both moved to Australia in the early 1990s, where they settled down and started a family. Well, more like a golf family!
Both Soonam and Clara were extremely supportive of the 24-year-old’s career. And considering their keen interest in the sport, it’s almost certain that they helped out whenever they could. Perhaps the splendid drive that Min Woo often flaunts on the course he’s inherited from his golf-avid father or even his teaching pro mother. And the supportive parents can even be seen cheering for their son from the crowd at events they attend.
Woo Lee’ famous sister
In 1996, Soonam and Clara gave birth to their first child, Min Jee Lee. And many in the golf world would have certainly heard of her far before Min Woo’s name rang through their ears. She is, after all, an LPGA Tour star! And she’s earned quite a huge name for herself in recent years. Currently, she sits high above at No. 5 in the women’s world rankings.
Min Jee is 2 years older than Min Woo and is his only sibling. And as far as achievements go, she has also accomplished more in her golf career. With eight LPGA Tour victories, including two major championships, she is now being compared to the likes of Lydia Ko and Nelly Korda. And the Aussie golf star has no intention of slowing down.
In 2022, she grabbed two wins on the ever-competitive tour. One of them was a major, which came at the US Women’s Open, where she trashed the entire field to win by four strokes. Despite still waiting for her first victory in 2023, Min Jee is quite often the fan favorite at events to grab the trophy. And it certainly doesn’t seem like it will take too long for her to clutch one this year.
Is the Min Woo Lee married?
Woo Lee isn’t yet married, nor does the Korean-Australian have any children. But the golf pro is in a relationship. As per his social media, the two-time DP World Tour champion is dating Gracie Drennan. And although the two keep a low profile, fans get a glimpse into their relationship through Min Woo’s social media.

The two have been dating since 2019, and Drennan seems extremely supportive of Lee. She is often on the course at his events, rooting for him as he takes on the other pros on the DP World Tour and the ISPS Handa PGA Tour of Australasia, where he primarily plays.
Drennan is an Aussie too and is from Perth, Western Australia. Although not much is known about her, it is known that she graduated from South Metropolitan TAFE in Fremantle with a degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising. She now works as a product and design coordinator at Spell, an Australian lifestyle brand.
