If anyone can empathize and be in tune with what Tiger Woods is going through, it’s probably another athlete. And Mike Tyson, a former boxing legend, is a prime example of that.
Tiger Woods, perhaps the greatest golfer in the world, made the sky his limit. However, he never had it easy. Injuries and accidents have plagued his career and scandals from his personal life have resurfaced to impede his great run. Life continuously threw challenges at him, but Woods, never one to back down, always rose higher each time.
Mike Tyson, too, has endured and withstood everything life has to offer in his 55 years. A violent and rough childhood, involving multiple visits to the prison, prepared him for the career that would gain him acclaim. At only 20, he became the world’s youngest heavyweight champion. Though challenges accompanied every step of his way, he has successfully established himself as one of the greatest boxers of all time.

Mike Tyson’s heartfelt message to Tiger Woods
A couple of years prior to Woods‘ single-car crash, he is recovering from now. Tyson was in an exchange with Piers Morgan. The latter brought forth the struggles of Tiger’s career and said, “Nobody’s had the highs and lows that guy’s had. Not even you, Mike… He’s hit by scandal after scandal. His body collapses. He’s finished. The only person who believed he could win again was Tiger Woods.”
Tyson honestly says, “We’re designed to be beaten in sports. But it’s what are we going to do after that? Are we going to give up because we think this is the best moment of our lives and we no longer have it because we no longer possess that crown? We have to go on and continue to improve ourselves as human beings.”
