The second major of the season is finally over now after all the thrill, and it is safe to say that it was truly epic. Brooks Koepka created history after he became the first LIV golfer to win a major title. On the other hand, some of the biggest names in golf took the back seat, and some of the unexpected names in golf emerged heroic. And who other comes to mind but the 2023 PGA Championship star, Michael Block. In his recent interview with CNN, the Californian golfer revealed the aftermath of Koepka’s warning.

During his interview, Block revealed how he was glad that Koepka was not there when he was at the bar.

The 46-year-old hit a hole-in-one during the final round at Oak Hill. So technically drinks were on him! His stunning ace on the 15th helped him finish 15th and earn a whopping prize of $288,333

Brooks Koepka and Block hugged each other when the former was walking off, and while they hugged, Koepka warned him, I heard you’re buying drinks.This became a moment between the two that everyone kind of reminisced about.

During his interview with CNN, the interviewer jokingly said that everyone in the control room wanted to know how much his tab was last night. To which he replied while laughing, “As far as I know it was all hosted by.” He then shared that he had a couple of drinks and enjoyed the previous night.

Speaking for the 2023 PGA Championship winner not being present at the bar he was at, he said, “I was lucky enough that Brooksy went away because I know Brooksy was going to put it on all on my tab, for sure.” He then spoke about how he had some amazing moments with everyone this week on the course. It was marvelous to see Koepka win. Regarding his major experience and Koepka, Block praised and said, “He’s such a great guy and everyone was the whole week.”

Michael Block works as a full-time golf instructor in California where he engages with a lot of students.

Will Block be charging more for his lessons now?!

The average charges for Block’s lessons at his home club, Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club are around $150 for one season. In his interview, the interviewer joked about whether or not his students have “locked in” the prices with him as he can charge a lot more now.

Hearing this, the PGA professional burst into laughter and said, “I have a feeling that my wife is going to make me charge more.” But then he continued and said that everything has been great and he is happy with what he charges. “ I feel bad about charging more for a golf lesson. I am great with charging $150 an hour no matter what.”
