After seven events in the west to start the 2025 schedule, the PGA Tour is not moving towards the south for a week stop at Greg Norman’s “Signature Course.” The Mexico Open at VidantaWorld in 2024 will be the fourth edition hosted south of the border. After the great record-breaking start of the schedule at the Sentry followed by some prominent names winning, seven events have shown a great delight to the fans.
Even, the eighth event of the calendar year isn’t going to be an easy one. The course is the seventh largest of the entire schedule with 7,456 yards par 71. But for the event to be ideal for golf and players to compete for the $7 million prize, the weather needs to be supportive. Let’s take a look at what the golfer will be going through at the Mexico Open.

Weather for the starting two rounds at the Mexico Open
Teeing off on 20th February, the event, unlike the Genesis Open, will not be a bummer due to rain for the first round. As per Accuweather report, the precipitation chances are 1% which is great. However, despite the temperature being ideal, clouds would affect the visibility. The temperature for the day will range from 64 degrees to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Plus, winds that could help the golfers maximize distance will flow at an average of 5.5 miles/hr in the west direction. The wind gust would be 12.42 mph.
As we move ahead with the rounds, the golfers will have to adjust according to the weather. After the first day of cloudy weather, the cover would be much less at the 14% predicted level. However, the winds would still be the worry as 5.5 mph and a gust of 14 mph will be the average to battle with. Temperature for Friday will range between 62.6 degrees to 82.4 degrees F.

With the increasing pressure of the leaderboard, the golfers will also have to take on the challenge of changing weather. For the third round, the temperature will be 60.8 degrees to 84.2 degrees F. Even though the chances of rain are nil, the clouds will still be a factor to worry about along with the wind. Throughout Saturday, the cover would be 46% while the wind would be flowing at the speed of 6.8 mph and the gust would be 16.15 mph.

The golfers will witness something similar even on the final decider day. The temperature will range from 59 and 84 degrees F, while the cloud cover will reduce as the sun rises. At night 73% of the sky is expected to be covered, while by the afternoon it will decrease to 41%. Still a challenge for golfers. Additionally, the wind and gusts will be 5.5 and 16 mph, similar to the previous day.
