Family is just as important an entity in the golf world as the players themselves. Loved ones help our esteemed golfers keep their focus and fight for their dreams. They help lift their spirits and make them laugh in the toughest of times.
However, there are also those families who have so much love at the core that they are not afraid to pull practical jokes. Such is the case of one jocular disappointed father and his little princess who could not take a hint.

Since The Ascendant LPGA benefiting Volunteers of America challenge last year, English golfer Charley Hull has not secured a single win on the American or European circuit. She missed the cut in 3 out of 5 of the Majors but did secure second place at the US Women’s Open and the AIG Women’s Open.
Coming so close to the title yet missing the mark encouraged her father to send her a thinly veiled hint in the form of a tennis court in her garden. It was his way of joking that she should explore other horizons in the face of her constant setbacks. However, the 27-year-old pro golfer from Kettring turned out to be more innocent than he assumed. She was delighted to find the Tennis Court at her home and shared a joyful message to her father on her Instagram story.
The golfer isn’t playing at the ISPS Handa World Invitational this season. She started her Sunday with a message about the beautiful morning, basking in the freshness. Then she came across the gift in her garden and wrote, “Fresh Tennis Court been laid in my garden. Thanks Dad x.” The British beauty did not get the hint from her father, but her innocent reply to his gesture made her fans laugh out loud.

On the face of it, the gesture from Charley Hull’s father may appear sarcastic and funny. However, the LPGA star’s doting parent has a vested involvement in her career. It was he who first taught the English dame to play the royal sport when she was merely two years old.
At the tender age of 13, Hull opted to be homeschooled and spent most of her time either perfecting her swing or appearing in Amateur Tournaments. Her father was always there to support her both on and off the course. She has, on occasion shared titbits about her loving relationship with him.
