The World Wide Technology Championship is underway this weekend at the Playa del Carmen. The El Camaleón Golf Course is hosting the event from November 4-7. However, two days before its inception, a special guest joined Rickie Fowler to play and witness the post-event excitement at the PGA Tour tournament.

Carlos Sainz, Formula One racing driver, made an appearance at the inauguration of the 15th edition of the prestigious tournament and the lone event played in Mexico.

And just a couple of weeks back, Sainz and Poulter were photographed practicing golf together. Looks like the 27-year-old is developing a passion for the sport!
Interestingly, Fowler has a connection with the automobile world. The five-time-winner on the PGA tour has been the global brand ambassador for Mercedes-Benz since 2016.

Unlike the preceding Bermuda Championship, which was unsuccessful in attracting any top golfer, the OHL Classic has scored well in this department. In a first this season, we will witness some of the most notable names in action. Along with defending champion Viktor Hovland, several other stars will be playing, including Brooks Koepka, Sergio Garcia, Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, and, of course, Rickie Fowler.
The winner of this year’s edition will receive $1.296 million of the $7.2 million purse in addition to 500 FedEx Cup points.
