With so many tournaments scheduled for the upcoming days, golf fans will have no lack of entertainment. However, among all these events, the PGA Tour is all set to host another designated event this week.
Beginning June 1 onwards, the 2023 Memorial Tournament has built a separate thrill among golf fans. But how much is the total purse for the tournament? And how much will the winner take home at the end of the mega-event?

Players to look out for at the 2023 Memorial Tournament
Fans are extremely excited to watch their favorite players on the course playing their best shots. However, it is going to be a pretty tough fight as the field has some of the best players in the world competing for the title. Hosted by ‘GOAT’ Jack Nicklaus himself, the event will feature defending champion Billy Horschel, who is back to claim the title again this year.

Not to forget, Cameron Young, who is still looking for his first PGA tour victory, is expected to give strong competition to the former champion. Other players to keep an eye on include World 181 Akshay Bhatia, followed by amateur Sam Bennett from Texas. Moreover, past champions including Patrick Cantlay, Jon Rahm, Hideki Matsuyama, and Matt Kuchar will also make an appearance at the awaited event.
Total purse, winner’s share, and prize money for the tournament
The top players are all in for giving it everything they have to win the hearts of their fans as well as the trophy on the final day. However, the prize money also acts as a pretty big motivator for professionals willing to showcase their epic skills. Luckily, the tournament features a huge purse of $20,000,000. Moreover, the winner will be pocketing $3.6 million as his share out of the total amount.
