A new member in the ‘Wolf Pack’? That’s what the news from Australia suggests. Ripper GC captain, Cam Smith, apparently signed a contract with Greyson Clothiers and joined the ‘Wolf Pack.’ Appearing for a chat at the Sunrise, a News 7 program, Smith donned the Ripper GC jersey that featured the apparel brand’s famous wolf logo.

While confirmation is awaited, if the reports are true, this is a major step for the Detroit-based apparel brand. They have a bunch of golfers on the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour, and with Smith, Greyson stands a chance to foray into the LIV Golf as well. With that being said, here are the most famous names attached to the brand as of now.

Justin Thomas

Arguably the most famous face to don Greysn apparel, Justin Thomas signed with the brand three years ago. Polo Ralph Lauren dropped the two-time major winner in early 2021 after a controversial incident at the Sentry. Thomas muttered a homophobic slur, for which he later apologized.

For the next twelve months, the Jupiter resident tested different apparel lines, including Greyson and Peter Millar. Eventually, he inked a deal with the Detroit-HQ brand. Speaking about their partnership, Gresyon founder Charlie Schaefer said, “Ahead of every event, he puts deliberate care into selecting his scripts, making sure they express his individuality and style while also letting his own creativity take over.

European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald was one of the earliest believers in the brand. And why not? Donald was close friends with founder Charlie Schaefer from their time with Ralph Lauren. Schaefer was the former VP of the brand and outfitted Donald for a long time.

Eventually, when Schaefer established his new apparel line in 2015, it didn’t take much to convince the five-time PGA Tour winner. Suffice it to say, joining ‘wolfpack’ in 2018 only elevated Donald’s reputation as one of the best-dressed golfers on the planet.

Erik Van Rooyen

Erik Van Rooyen signed with Greyson a year after Luke Donald, in January of 2019. EVR’s mustache has drawn attention, but so has his apparel from time to time. At the WGC-Mexico Championship in 2020, Van Rooyen’s peacocking polo was the talking point in the golf community. Moreover, the Montauk joggers stood out amid a crowded Sunday of formal pants. Now it has become his signature style. “Of course, I love the Sequoia jogger and Cokato hoodie. When I wear it as a kit, it’s just my go-to,” said the South African golfer a few years back.

Morgan Hoffman

Morgan Hoffman is also the co-founder of the brand in addition to representing Greyson at the elite level of professional golf. The former world no. 1 amateur golfer is also a close friend of founder Charlie Schaefer. Together, they established Greyson Clothiers in 2015.

Hoffman debuted his apparel line at the 2015 Masters. His bold outfit—a canvas for experimenting with modern-day design—was a hit. Hoffman’s career went through multiple turns and twists, but he has remained firm in his support of the brand he established. Currently, the former Oklahoma State grad plies his trade on the Korn Ferry Tour as a conditional member.

Alison Lee

Alison Lee is the only LPGA Pro to sign up for the ‘Wolf Pack.’ The 29-year-old UCLA graduate joined Greyson Clothiers in May 2023. Curiously enough, even though Greyson has a dedicated section for women’s apparel, Lee is the only female athlete with the Detroit-based brand. Notably, Greyson’s apparel features in LPGA Pro Shop as well, a new online fan merchandise store the American women’s circuit launched in 2023.

Aside from these five, Greyson Clothiers also boasts a number of current PGA Tour and DP World Tour pros. Harry Higgs, Luke List, Thorbjorn Olesen, and Dylan Wu are all part of the ‘Wolf Pack’. The brand is still expanding with rumors of a Charlie Woods partnership growing rife last year. Although the teenage Woods has sported Greyson a couple of times, he hasn’t signed a formal contract with the brand.

On the other hand, Akshay Bhatia is one of the rising stars in the Tour committed to Greyson Clothiers. His bright and bold outfits stand out, and Bhatia likes it that way. However, Greyson’s website doesn’t list the two-time PGA Tour winner under pack leaders. Neither is Matt Fitzpatrick listed in that section.

The former US Open champion did sport the Wolf emblem several times. However, there was no clear indication of whether he signed a deal with an apparel start-up or not. Nevertheless, with Cam Smith likely on their radar, Greyson might just pull off a team apparel deal with LIV Golf’s All-Australian squad. Another frontier crossed for the nascent brand.
