The Irish golfer shared the good news on Instagram, stating both mother and daughter are healthy.

With Poppy being born in August, she has joined the club of Virgos. She shares the star sign with the likes of Victor Hovland, Bryson DeChambeau, and Brooke Henderson.

Iris was dropped due to the fact McIlroy’s golf friends, Alex Noran and Shane Lowry, have daughters with the same name. Ultimately, the couple decided on Poppy, with the Irish golfer stating, “We wanted to go with something pretty unique.”

Since then the 3-year-old has changed the trajectory of her father’s career. She is the center of attraction whenever she visits her father during the events, cultivating a fanbase for herself.
