

Young recruits in the professional golf leagues have been making headlines ever since. Again, something similar happened as the 22-year-old, Yubin Jang joined LIV Golf. With the latest addition to the team of Kevin Na. According to him, he spent sleepless nights to find a young talent for his team.
Jang is the first full-time player from the Korean Tour to join as a LIV Golf member. Along with him, the team has other Asians, including Korean-born Na and Danny Lee. Yubin Jang’s career achievements
According to Na, “He’s going to be the next best Korean golfer.” Along with that, he even said, “That’s how much I believe in him. And I told him that, too.” But, he has been observing the game of the young pro for a long time now. As an amateur, Jang has won the 2023 Asian Games and helped the team with the results. After the gold medal, Jang started his journey towards a professional career and joined the Korean Tour.
The young South Korean pro was building his game alongside other professional Korean Tour players. His consistent performances helped Na find the player he was looking for. With just five weeks in the Korean season, Jang had five top-6 finishes. Which was followed by two missed cuts, but he made a strong comeback with 5 strong finishes in second place, one tie for the third, and victory at the Korean Tour’s Gunsan Open.

Continuing with his victory run at the Busan Open in October. Na was impressed with his performance by then. After that win, Jang became the first Korean Tour player to win more than $1 billion in a single season, as per the data shared by LIV Golf. Even Na shared his thoughts on it, “It’s not just, oh, he won the money title this year, I’m going after him,” He was more impressed with the game for which he shared, “I’ve been watching him for more than a year. I’ve been watching a lot of guys.”

Yubin Jang’s early life in a nutshell
The young golfer who joined LIV golf was named “Yubin” by his grandmother, which meant “a person who shines generously in the world,” which is turning true with the start of his professional career. But the professional started to play according to his fate. At the age of 7 when he used to follow his grandparents to golf practice, he discovered the adrenaline rush after hitting the ball. After that instance, he declared his wish to play golf and even his grandparents agreed to it.

Both grandparents, being tennis professionals, supported the journey and have moved to Yangyang to offer a better environment for Jang’s career. Cha Hwa-ja, the grandmother, shared with Maeil Business Newspaper that they have moved three times to raise Jang Yoo-bin as a professional golfer. Since the beginning, he has stayed with his grandparents. However, there is no information available on the internet about the pro’s parents.
The exposure and opportunity in the early life of a South Korean professional was a great start given by his grandparents. Great sacrifices were made to turn Yubin Jang into a professional and shine in his career.
