However, on the second day, it was changed with the new topper Lanto Griffin. He is an American professional who turned pro back in 2010 and joined the PGA Tour in 2018. The golfer has been showcasing some great shots during the second round, which even was featured on social media from the official PGA Tour account.

The video showcased how the ball completed a semi-circle around the hole after hitting the flagstick before the putt was counted. Even though the golfer is getting due recognition by the golf world for his ongoing presence at the event, his caddie, who has been a strong support for the golfer, is not known by all. Lanto Griffin has entered the Farmers Insurance Open with new support for him, yet an accomplished one. Brad Ortwerth, who is a professional caddie with more than 2 decades of experience, has joined the golfer for the event in San Diego, California. The caddie at the Farmers Insurance Open in 2024 teamed up with Adrien Dumont de Chassart as per the Caddie Network data. Now with Griffin, it is surely working out based on his results after the second round.

Looking at his career, Ortwerth for the past almost 10 years has been the tour caddie under Brad Orthweth Inc. However, being a professional caddie isn’t the only profession that he followed, as he has also worked as a realtor, live sound engineer, and key accounts in various organizations. Despite his diverse professions, he primarily focused his expertise on golf. Even after having different professional encounters, being a caddie is a permanent primary role that he opted for throughout his career.

The Charleston-based caddie at the Farmers Insurance Open has been a professional caddie since 2002. He started working as a caddie at Kiawah Island Club in September 2002, which he continued until November 2005. In 2005, he transferred to the Kiawah Island Golf Resort for seven years, until 2013. However, during that period, Ortwerth started to take multiple roles, and in 2008, he joined Pearlstine Distributors as a Key Account for 4.5 years.

Later on, with his switch back from Golf Resort to Kiawah Island Club in 2014, he explored a Live Sound Engineer role as well. He worked for the Charleston Groove Factory/ The Holy City Hooligans for 10 months.

The caddie, after an exploratory phase, has established his primary, secondary, and subsidiary career roles, a path he’s pursued for nearly a decade. As the primary role at Kiawah from Feb 2014, Ortwerth has been a constant. However, he has found his subsidiary role in the same field as his own venture, i.e., Brad Ortwerth Inc. through which he works as a Tour Caddie. Furthermore, for a secondary source of earnings, the caddie is a part-time realtor too.
