LIV golfer Jason Kokrak is known for his strong driving and ball-striking skills. Skills that helped him earn $22,651,411 on the PGA Tour before he defected to LIV Golf.  Kokrak’s caddie, David Robinson, has always had his back, guiding and supporting him during his game. Robinson, 43, was born in Augusta, United States, on February 28, 1981.

Robison became a professional caddie in 2012 and he has been working with Kokrak for a long time. Before Jason Kokrak, Robinson worked with several other professional golfers like, Tommy Gainey, Blake Adams, Boo Weekley, Chris Kirk, and Scott Stallings. Davis Robinson plays a significant role in Jason Kokrak’s career, and this duo has indeed come a long way, facing several challenges and enjoying many milestones together.

‘D Rob’ proved to be an advantage for Kokrak in his first PGA Tour win during the 2020 CJ Cup. Kokrak admitted that Robinson’s skills in reading greens have played a major role during his victorious journey. “I would characterize it with D-Rob’s work. He reads the greens pretty dang good,” he said.

Additionally, there are more victories in the name of this pair, like the Charles Schwab Challenge and the Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Houston Open in 2021. The duo’s astonishing performance was notably appreciable during the 2023 LIV Golf Andalucia, where they finished in 5th place.

David Robinson has a keen eye for the technical aspects of golf that come with experience as a golfer; he became professional on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2004. He then shifted his ways to become a caddie after 8 years, and he seems to enjoy it pretty well. According to Caddie Network, he thinks that the best part of being a caddie is “the roller coaster ride!”  Robinson, too, has had a few achievements during his journey as a professional golfer.

David Robinson’s golf career

Robinson started his golf career in his college days. He used to play for Georgia College and State University. However, before becoming a professional caddie in 2012, Robinson was a part of the mini-tours and the Korn Ferry Tour. He kickstarted as a golfer in 2004 and joined the Korrey Ferry Tour as a professional golfer later in 2006, but the Nationwide tour has put him into the spotlights.

At the 2010 Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open, D-Rob had his best finish on the Korn Ferry Tour, that is T17 . Further, Robinson has only one PGA Tour in his bag, which is the 2009 Wyndham Championship.

When it comes to his net worth, it remains unknown; however, Jason Kokrak’s estimated net worth is 17 million USD, and Robinson has contributed to some of his greatest victories, which must have earned him a considerable sum until now. The caddie enjoys encouraging young golfers during his free time.

What is Robinson doing while not caddying?

Robinson is an active member of his native Sandville’s Rotary Club. He likes to take part in events to share stories and the highlights of his PGA Tour life while caddying for Kokrak. He also talks about his experience and how much golf means to him to encourage new golfers.

Moreover, as per Caddie Network, the greatest shot he ever witnessed on the tour was “4 iron from Boo Weekley to the back left flag at TPC Louisiana #17. Late on Sunday, one shot back, wind in off the left to 5 feet, under the circumstances, the best shot I’ve seen,” he said.
