He is a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, as he spent the first few years of his life in the Philadelphia area. Higgs is a very friendly person and likes talking to people. Interestingly, he often gets late because he gets so caught up in talking. The golfer does not like to go out for long dinners and prefers staying in. Notably, he had the opportunity to play golf with President George W. Bush at Preston Trail GC in Dallas. If he was not a golfer, he would like to run for political office, whether it be senator, governor, or president.

Harry Higgs’ relationship status

Although the exact time since Harry Higgs started dating Kailee Kuehn is not known, she is his fiancée at the moment. Only last year, on May 20th, Higgs proposed and ultimately got engaged. Harry Higgs put a ring hidden in a hat, and his whole family cheered for him on the day of the proposal.

Two days later, he shared the moments on his Instagram. Higgs captioned it, “The woman of my dreams is all mine! Special surprise engagement this weekend! Love you @kleekuehn We had a great time with both families! Thanks to Andrew and Ashley @maufrais.austin for pulling off the surprise!”

Harry Higgs’ journey in golf

It was in 2014 that Higgs became a professional. He initially played on the PGA Tour Latinoamérica the very next year and again in 2018. With a score of 19-under and a two-stroke margin of victory, Higgs won the Peru Open in 2018 and earned a ticket to the Korn Ferry Tour the next year. Soon after Higgs joined the Korn Ferry Tour, he was ranked 5th following his 2019 Price Cutter Charity Championship. He won with a two-stroke lead and a 266 overall score.

His Price Cutter Charity Championship had earned him a PGA Tour card for the 2019-20 season. He finished as a runner-up once in two events, first at the Bermuda Championship in November 2019 and then at the Safeway Open in 2020. But his breakthrough came the following year, in 2021, when he finished T4 in his very first major at the PGA Championship.

This season, Harry Higgs has won the AdventHealth Championship and the Visit Knoxville Open on the Korn Ferry Tour. However, the PGA Tour has now announced that Higgs is coming back to the PGA Tour. His friend Joel Dahmen announced at the RBC Canadian Open, “it wasn’t a matter of if he was coming back; it was just a matter of when.” He further added, “To see (him) go back-to-back … Harry’s one of the best players in the world and he’s showing it. Pretty cool that he’ll be back out (on the PGA TOUR) again next year.”

The 32-year-old golfer recognizes the efforts that he has put into his play. According to the PGA Tour, he has said, “I focused on the work. I kept working and doing the things that I thought I needed to do to get better … It’s nice to get some results, but I feel like I’m on the right track for years to come.”

But did you know that this exceptional talent has gone through one of the toughest health issues in his life?

Harry Higgs’ fight for a healthy life

It was on The Smylie Show that Higgs announced his encounter with skin cancer. It was detected early, and soon he underwent an “easy procedure.”  He confessed how he had to keep a band-aid near his ear for 10 days after the removal of the cancer from his face.

Higgs stated, “My appearance has changed a little bit. We had this plan for a little over a month. I had some skin cancer removed yesterday morning. Nothing major, very easy procedure. I was awake the whole time and didn’t feel a darn thing. But I’ve got to keep this kind of ridiculous-looking Band-Aid on until noon today when I can then shower and redo the Band-Aid.”

However, instead of being mentally stirred, the golfer made light humor of his situation. He said, “I apologize that I do look ridiculous. Everything’s intact… I’m just going to have a little tiny scar; maybe it’ll make me look tough.”

Higgs has also revealed how he was able to take care of himself, and out of this fight against cancer, he eventually got to be a real person. Do you think Harry Higgs will fare well on the PGA Tour next season? Let us know in the comments below.
