Dewi Weber is a rising young professional golfer who was born on June 12, 1996, in Groningen, Netherlands. Weber went to the University of Miami, where she was a member of the Miami Hurricanes women’s golf team. In college, she has three tournament wins to her name and was the first runner-up at the 2016 NCAA Individual Championship, she graduated with a degree in sports administration in 3.5 years. Weber then turned professional in March 2019 and began playing on the Symetra Tour (now known as the Epson Tour). In three seasons, she achieved 12 top-10 finishes, and the best one was a solo fourth place at the 2020 Mission Inn Resort & Club Championship. Later in 2022, she was able to qualify for the LPGA Tour through a T-10 finish at the qualifying school.
However, Weber encountered some issues when entering her rookie season on the LPGA Tour. In her rookie season, she made 10 cuts and earned $137,749. She also recorded a career-best finish of T6 at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational alongside playing partner Pauline Roussin. Her best performance at a major to date is T-61 at the Chevron Championship in 2023.

Both of Weber’s parents were very influential in her early life; they introduced her to golf. Weber was born and raised in Groningen. Her parents always supported her athletic activities, used to take her to the golf courses, and helped her develop an interest in the same. While she continued her education at the University of Miami, her career in golfing was strengthened here because she was able to balance her education with her golfing career.
Weber has come out to the public as a queer and has been very open on matters concerning her sexual identity. She is engaged to her girlfriend, Jen, who has been her source of support throughout her career. After living together for approximately 4 years, Weber and Jen got married very recently. Weber dreams of “an ideal world where people don’t have to come out. A world without gender closets”. Jen has been a source of encouragement to Weber, giving him the moral support that is required in professional sports.

Other than golf, Weber has a great passion for traveling, which has greatly contributed to her career. She also described a specific trip to Japan, which motivated her to advance her golf game to the next level and start playing in the US, an example of how travel affects one’s life. She said in an interview with Ben Harping Media that “being here in Japan in like a comp like other side of the world for me meeting all these people like competing in the highest level.”
