Before heading to the final round of the Meijer LPGA Classic, the pro talked about the crowd at the Blythefield Country Club. Later, she also expressed how the fans played a pivotal role in providing an extra “stretch” to the golfer. Fast forward to the final day of the tournament, Thompson joined the press conference and was asked, “How many autographs do you think you signed this week?”

Acknowledging the support from fans, the 29-year-old responded “So many. So many. Which is great. I think this tournament had the most fans I’ve ever seen at a regular tournament that wasn’t a major. It’s so amazing to see how this community gets behind this event, and it’s truly special.” In nearly every tournament, Lexi Thompson’s fans often surround her, and she genuinely appreciates these moments.

However, that’s not the sole reason for the golfer’s smile. During the final round on June 16th, which happened to be Father’s Day, Thompson’s father was present on the greens to witness her play. Later in the conference, they asked her how it felt to have her father witness her performance, especially after she announced her retirement.
