John Daly is undoubtedly one of the most outspoken golfers of all time. Daly has shared secrets of himself and his colleagues previously without any hesitation. However, recently, Big John shared his thoughts on the PGA Tour’s commissioner, Jay Monahan, which weren’t very positive.

LIV Golf’s arrival has brought in some tough times for the PGA Tour. The 92-year-old Tour is trying different strategies to stay relevant with the arrival of the Saudi-backed Tour.
Recently during an interview, John Daly talked about PGA Tour and in a way sided with LIV Golf. But Daly’s main target was the commissioner.
John Daly lashes out at Jay Monahan
During an episode of ‘Tomi Lahren is Fearless’, Tomi Lahren made a direct question to John Daly regarding the LIV Golf vs PGA Tour controversy. Shockingly, Daly’s response was unexpected.

Daly first gave props to both Tours by saying, “I’m not against the LIV and I’m not go I’m not against what the Tour’s doing.” But later John Daly cited his anger towards the PGA Tour’s commissioner Jay Monahan by saying, “It’s supposed to the Tour works for us but I’m kind of leaning like well maybe Jay thinks we’re working for him.”

He further added, “I don’t want to make him mad or anything,” while referring to Jay Monahan. Though Big John might not be participating in either of the Tours regularly, he still hasn’t changed one bit when it comes to speaking his heart out.

Daly hopes both Tours can work together
After hinting at his support for the Saudi-backed Tour, Daly further talked about how he hopes both Tours can work together. He also gave props to LIV Golf’s CEO Greg Norman.

Following his comments about Monahan, Daly added, “I just wish they would come together and just do it together. You know, I know Greg, I’ve known Greg for a long time. His idea was the World Golf Championships.” John Daly then paid respect to the former commissioner of the PGA Tour, Tim Vincent, who played a crucial role in the expansion of PGA Tour internationally.

Daly also made it clear that he was staying at the PGA Tour by saying, “I’m gonna stay on the PGA Tour. I love the guys on the Champions Tour, I wish we’d play faster, but that’s my Tour, that’s my home.” As John Daly’s final days on the golf course are approaching, we only wish to see more of him as much as possible.
