Max Homa is exhausted. So much so that he wants to have a ‘boy trip’ where nobody will disturb his sleep cycle. A boy trip where instead of bungee jumping or scuba diving, the 32-year-old golfer wants to unwind and snuggle down.

Ludicrous, you say? So thought his Ryder Cup teammate, Justin Thomas. A four-word tweet from the two-time major winner busted the utopian dream of his compatriot.

Max Homa has taken a break from golf after an exhausting away Ryder Cup campaign. Probably, he took some time to go on a trip with his friends. But the ‘boys trip’ was no chill moment for the golfer.

The American International tweeted he wanted to have a boys’ trip that was not as exhausting as boys’ trips generally are. “Just one time I’d like to go on a boys trip where we catch up on sleep and relax as much as possible instead of pushing our bodies to the absolute limit,” wrote an exasperated Homa on an ‘X’.

However, as well know, that is impossible. Boy trips are wild. Homa’s Ryder Cup comrade Justin Thomas reminded him that with a clever response: “water is still wet.” The last time we checked, boy trips were still wild and chaotic.

Homa and Thomas are known to share a good rapport. Earlier this month, Justin Thomas posted Max Homa’s clutch win moment at the Ryder Cup calling him his hero. Homa too has earlier defended Thomas’ inclusion in the USA squad.

Justin Thomas had a forgettable Ryder Cup experience by all means. But his teammate, Max Homa, despite being a Ryder Cup rookie, put out a gritty and feisty display at Marco Simone.

Earlier this month, the 30-year-old golfer shared a clip of Homa’s putt on the 18th hole on his Instagram story. “The dude is my hero. The passion and grit he plays with is so inspiring,” wrote the 15-time PGA-Tour winner. Heaping praise on his brother-in-arms, the golfer further added, “Any team is better with Max Homa on it.”

Max Homa, too has defended Justin Thomas’ inclusion in the team. Asked about his poor form, the 32-year-old-golfer replied, “I know Justin wants to perform better, and he is certainly capable of it.”
