Max Homa, unfortunately, didn’t have the season he’d hoped for this year. He struggled to snag any titles in 2024, leaving his fans and followers feeling a bit let down.  Now, with the 2025 season coming, there’s still uncertainty about when Homa’s on-course heartbreak will end. But what one can speculate for sure is that Max Homa is not stopping at his social media game, which actually is quite strong! Homa’s social media roasts with his fans are nothing new to the golfing world. But this time, the 34-year-old flipped his roasting game to something thoughtful.

On 27 December, a netizen named Donnie Solesbee shared a heartfelt post on X, feeling “cringe” about posting a video of his daughter, Autumn Solesbee, showcasing her golf swing. He had tagged the PGA Tour professional Max Homa then, making a comparison with his daughter’s swing. He mentioned that Zire Golf re-posts it every year. Why does he know it? Because his notifications blow up. He then continued, “I wish they didn’t but oh well. I am still just as proud of being her dad.”

Shockingly, Homa’s eight-word response was priceless, literally. “It’s not cringy to be a proud dad,” he said, capturing the relatable sentiments of a parent. After all, Homa himself is a dad to a 2-year-old! But the golf pro dad didn’t stop there. He continued with, “Plus Autumn is awesome, so that helps!” making Donnie swell with happiness and pride even more. Donnie and his wife Jamie Solesbee were on a journey to adopt when they met a 7-year-old girl in foster care.

Autumn has already made a name for herself in the golfing world. In 2022, she clinched the title in the Girls 7-9 Division at the Drive, Chip, and Putt National Final held at the iconic Augusta National. It’s quite an achievement for then 9-year-old, don’t you think? Autumn likes to win tournaments, make friends, and hit a great shot; “It feels like a refreshing drink to me,” said the young star.

Donnie couldn’t hold back after Homa’s appreciation. It was one more achievement for the dad, and he quickly replied, “Thanks, Max!” He then went on to share his wish to see his daughter, Autumn, playing alongside Homa someday. “Hope you and Autumn can tee it up sometime! Merry Christmas!”

This moment was a delightful surprise, especially considering that Homa is usually known for his sharp, witty roasts on X. Fans were genuinely impressed by his tender-hearted response, with one even commenting, “You’re nice sometimes ;),” highlighting the contrast between his humorous side and this heartfelt exchange.

Max Homa is undeniably one of the funniest athletes out there, especially in the world of golf. His brand of humor shines both on and off the course, making him a favorite among fans. One particularly memorable moment was when he roasted a fan over their choice of a camera setup.

A look back at Homa’s wild roast as he swaps his game

It all started when a fan asked him, “Are you still roasting swings @Maxhoma?” Instead of diving into the details of his swing or shots, Homa quickly pivoted to the fan’s video quality. With a sharp sense of humor, he simply replied, “No,” leaving everyone wondering what was coming next.

Then, he delivered the zinger: “It’s tough look paying for Twitter instead of buying a tripod.” Ouch! Homa expertly shifted the focus from the fan’s swing to the painfully bad camera angle. He didn’t stop there; he hilariously noted that it looked like the fan had used a “range bucket” to prop up their phone for the shot, resulting in that terrible angle. He capped off his roast with the classic Michael Scott line from The Office: “Boom roasted.” Talk about adding salt to the wound! But why would the golfer go on changing the angle of his good-going publicity game?
