Last night’s World Series game was insane! Freddie Freeman, playing with a seriously injured ankle, hit a walk-off grand slam in the 10th inning to give the Dodgers a 6-3 win over the Yankees! It was an absolutely electric moment at a packed Dodger Stadium. This historic home run was almost as same as Kirk Gibson’s iconic walk-off homer 36 years ago. Well, the crowd just went wild as Freeman rounded the bases, and the Dodgers clinched the series.
PGA Tour golfer Max Homa was one of these fans—well, at least he wanted to be. Confused much? Let us help you understand. The golfer is currently in Japan, the same place where the Yankees vs. Dodgers game is taking place. So when Fox Sports made a post on X about how excited the fans were over the win, the golfer replied to the post. “Could have been me, but I had a tee time…” said Homa to the post that read, “Reactions in Tokyo to Freddie’s walk-off is so cool to see.”
Currently, Homa is playing for the Zozo Championship at the Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club, and his performance hasn’t been very good. The golfer is at the T39th position after round three with a total score of 4 under par. As we said, not very good! So, when Homa commented about his desire to be able to watch the Dodgers win, golf fans did not take it very well.

Fans did not like that the golfer said because of his tee time he wasn’t able to cheer on his favorite team and well, they did not shy away from showing their disappointment.

We all know that if there’s something the golf fans don’t like, they will make themselves loud and clear, and that is exactly what happened when Homa made the latest tweet. Starting off strong with what these fans said about Homa not being professional enough to prioritize his own game. “Priorities Max! Come on!” while the other said, “Get your priorities in check.” Well, this is not the first time the golfer has faced heat from the fans because of something like this.

Remember the heated exchange the golfer had with a fan earlier this year? When Homa was competing in the BMW Championship at Olympia Fields Country Club, a fan who had bet $3 on him shouted near the 17th green and disrupted his concentration. Homa couldn’t control his frustration and clapped back by confronting the fan. Other fans wished the golfer good luck for the game and said, “Keep up the good work.” And another fan added to it: “Good luck and get them birds🫡.”
Well, the golfer has scored 11 birdies so far in the game, which again is not very good for his score, which currently lies at 4 under par in total. However, the fans are still rooting for the golfer to atleast finish in the top-10. This one fan was confused about what Homa said and commented, “I thought you meant you would of been Freddie Freeman but you had a tee time lol then realized you’re in Japan 😂”, and well, this is hilarious. Another fan commented and reminded the golfer of his utter privilege by saying, “Ok, you’re in Japan. We get it. Me too but I don’t mention it in every post”.
Well, Max Homa is one of the richest golfers out there. Homa had a banner year in 2023 alone as he raked in $14.3 million, thanks in large part to his big wins at the Fortinet Championship, where he earned $1.44 million, and Farmers Insurance Open, where he bagged $1.566 million. So, do you think the fans are right about Homa not being serious about the game? Let us know in the comment section below!
