Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron Kuchar nabbed all the limelight on Saturday at the PNC Championship. The Kuchar duo carded the sensational score of 15 under 57, making it the second-lowest opening-round score in the tournament’s story. The pair made it look easy on a rainy day at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club, probably with the help of their zeal and arsenal! Let’s have a look at what’s in the seasoned golfer’s bag.
What does Matt Kuchar carry in his golf bag?
The 9x PGA Tour winner has made some changes to his golf bag. Previously, he wielded the Bridgestone Tour J815 driver, but now he uses the Titleist TSR3 driver equipped with a Fujikura Ventus Blue shaft. The TSR3 boasts a classic-shaped head that aims to increase its speed through the air.

Moving on to his fairway, the 45-year-old employs a TaylorMade Stealth Plus with 15 degrees of loft and a TaylorMade Stealth fairway wood with 18 degrees. Both are equipped with Fujikura Speeder Evolution 757 shafts.
Notably, Kuchar seems to have shifted away from using multiple hybrids and now carries only the Ping Anser 20-degree model. The golfer has had this club in this bag for a long time, and it appears that it is one of his favorites. The golfer’s list of his weapons of choice doesn’t end here, as he has some great putters and irons in his collection too.

Kuchar also replaced the irons he previously used, that is Bridgеstone irons. He now uses sеt of Srixon ZX7 Mk II. His wedge game consists of three Cleveland RTX ZipCore Raw models with around 52, 57, and 63 degrees of loft. The numbers on the sole of the clubs suggest some bending to ensure precise yardage gaps.
