Matt Kuchar is among the most well-known players on the PGA Tour. With nine pro wins in the league and top 10 finishes in 12 major championships, he has some impressive stats to boast of. And though he has never won a major championship, like every other golfer he aims to achieve it one day.

This week, he is performing at the World Wide Technology Championship being held at the El Cardonal at Diamante. He is taking the lead and entering the fourth and final round in the first position, tied with Carlos Villegas. Let’s take a look at what equipment Kuch uses for his success.

Matt Kuchar has the capability to deliver some impressive swings. His tall frame gives him an advantage with his swing, which he mostly uses his irons for. He uses a variety of clubs from different reliable brands to help him on the greens. Come take a look at what clubs Matt is using this year.

Irons – For his irons, he depends on a different brand than TaylorMade and uses the Srixon ZX7 MK II, which features the 5-PWAeroTech loft and SteelFiber Private Reserve i110cw shaft. It retails for $1200.

Driver – For his driver, Kuchar uses the Titleist TSR3, which comes with a 9 degrees loft and has the Fujikura Ventus TR 6X shaft. It offer benefits like Player-Preferred Shaping, and precise speed and  distance. It sells for $600.

Fairway Woods – The golfer uses two types of woods from TaylorMade. First is the 3-Wood TaylorMade with the Stealth Plus15 degrees loft. Its shaft is the Fujikura Speeder 757 Evolution VII X-Flex. Another is the 5-wood TaylorMade. Its loft is made of Stealth Plus18 degrees and features the Fujikura Speeder 757 Evolution VII X-Flex shaft.

Putters and Wedges of Matt Kucher

For his Putters, Kuchar depends upon the Bettinardi Tour Department SS28 armlock. It has been specially designed and engineered with direct feedback from Kuchar. It comes paired with a black PVD shaft and a standard black onyx SINK Fit grip. Matt’s Wedges are the Cleveland RTX ZipCore Full Face Wedge and he uses the 52 degrees, 58 degrees and 64 degrees.

The shafts are made of Dynamic Gold S400 Spinner (128g). These wedges offer stability, control, and consistency. Moreover, they generate extra spin and tour-level stopping power. And instead of using the traditional Titleist Pro ball, which is used by a majority of players, Kuchar opts for the Bridgestone Tour B X ball.
