Min Woo Lee is a rising star on the PGA Tour. While his sister Min Jee Lee may be an established golfer with two Major wins on the LPGA Tour, the brother in the family is climbing through the ranks among the pros. He won the hearts of the golf world with a stunning 8 under par in the Players Championship. But despite his current run of form, will Lee be competing at the upcoming Masters?
The first Major of the season is only a week away. With high anticipation leading towards it, many golfers are still eager to earn an invitation by winning Valero Texas Open. But does Min Woo require a PGA Tour win too for a ticket to the Masters?

For a golfer to qualify to receive an invitation to the illustrious Augusta National, he must fulfill under various eligibility criteria. One of them is by winning any Major apart from the Masters, and consequently receiving an invitation for the next five years.
Moreover, golfers who win the Green Jacket will receive a lifetime invitation to the legendary event. Apart from winning Majors, PGA Tour players have to secure a win on the season to fall into the eligibility criteria. Unfortunately for Min Woo Lee, he hasn’t managed to achieve any wins on the PGA Tour or even in the Majors.

Though he has made plenty of top-10 finishes in recent years, including the Players Championship, the Australian has yet to taste victory on the American Tour. While he may not have a win to his name, his constant decent performances have helped him rank 47th in the Official World Golf Rankings. Since he is ranked among the top 50 golfers in the world, Lee will receive an invitation to Augusta National.

It won’t be his first time at the iconic course, as he finished tied for 14th position last year in the Masters. Following his confirmation of being eligible for the first Major of the season, Min Woo Lee shared his emotions with his fans on Twitter. “We are heading back to heaven on Earth. Augusta, see you soon”, wrote the 24-year-old.
