There are many talented and popular people who can make their presence felt. However, only a few can make their absence felt. Speaking of which, Paige Spiranac’s absence from getting involved in the Solheim Cup has generated conversations.

From what we have known and seen, it doesn’t appear coincidental. It looks like she is intentionally holding herself back from talking about the Solheim Cup. However, a quick search reveals that it is not just her that is staying silent. Is there more to this matter than what meets the eye?

Paige Spiranac isn’t the only one who has stepped back

Initially, when Paige Spiranac was not posting about the Solheim Cup, it was presumed a personal preference. The golf beauty has a history with the LPGA, and she has had moments from her past that might have turned her cold toward the women’s golf scene.

However, now it appears that many golf influencers are silent about it. Case in point, the new-age golf influencers such as Karin Hart, Hailey Ostrom, and Claire Hogle. None of them have recently posted about the Solheim Cup before or during the event.

Looking across the Atlantic, even the prominent UK-based influencer Mia Baker hasn’t shared much about the Solheim Cup so far. She has posted about the Ryder Cup though. But Baker hadn’t posted anything on the women’s event.

Mia Baker at least featured in a video promoting both the Team USA and Team Europe concept altogether. But the American influencers have not really gotten into the scene so far. And it makes us wonder if this is just about Paige Spiranac.

We can mostly conclude that there has not been any major scandal or conflict that would insinuate such a notion. However, a study of patterns will bring more clarity about how this is not just about Paige Spiranac.

Golf influencers who hold a massive fan following are predominantly former female golfers. This is not surprising as modeling and social media space tend to reward women more as per data from market behavior. However, the influencers tend to focus more on brands and on men’s golf mostly.

After winning the title at the Cambia Portland Classic in 2018, LPGA Tour pro Marina Alex spoke about women’s golf and golf influencers. She had expressed her belief that with more support from influencers, women’s golf could grow to greater heights.

It’s quite a mystery as to what discourages golf influencers especially female influencers from collaborating with the LPGA on promoting their events. Maybe the future holds answers!
