Many celebrities take time out of their busy schedules for themselves to do things they love. For many, this thing is golf. The calming nature of the sport makes it an easy pick. Justin Timberlake is one such celebrity. He first started golfing in 2002, and his love for the sport has only grown since. JT has only recently announced that he is now also investing in a par-3 golf course.

Justin Timberlake hopes to make golf more accessible

The biggest issue with golf, as many have stated in the past, is accessibility. And that is something Timberlake and his partners at 8AM Golf look to change with their latest investment. JT joined 8AM Golf in 2020 and is now in charge of the creative initiatives. They also just announced that they’re adding 3’s to their portfolio.

3’s was founded to make golf fun for all. The founder, Davis Sezna, said he created the company due to his “love for golf, food and beverage, and hospitality.” Justin too loved the concept and said“The 3’s concept is one I’m extremely excited about.”

He explained how the company made the sport more accessible and fun. He said, “Making golf more accessible, less intimidating and more fun is a passion of mine, and that’s exactly what 3’s accomplishes with its 12-hole, par-3 layout and its relaxed, ‘all are welcome’ vibe.” Both 3’s and JT are equally excited about their partnership.

Tiger Woods once offered JT advice on his game

The Grammy-winning celebrity has played alongside many greats of the sport. He has played with Tiger Woods on numerous occasions. In a video where Tiger was featured by Bleacher Report, he once told JT that he appreciated his game and offered him some game advice.

Tiger said that he had played “lots of golf” with Justin and that he took the game seriously. The legend went on to appreciate JT’s game and said, “JT hits it good.” He also went on and explained, “The guy can shoot rounds in the 70s without a problem.”

He went on to tell Justin to “just keep playing” and appreciated his golf swing, calling it “beautiful.” The only advice he said he had for the singer was for him to work on his short game. He said, “Just a matter of getting out there and working on your short game and putting.” The legend said that was the only thing missing from Timberlake’s game. It was a huge compliment for JT, especially coming from a legend like Woods.
