Tyrrell Hatton is quite a famous player in the golf world. There is no denying that he is a good golfer, but more than his game Hatton has earned a notorious reputation for being quite verbally aggressive on the green. Known for being a hot-headed player, Hatton has more often than not left his fan base a bit embarrassed by his outbursts.

And this week he will be playing in the BMW PGA Championship in Surrey. As Hatton sets to return to the event after a year, an old clip from last year featuring the golfer and his temper has left the golf in deep discussion.

Last week Hatton performed at the Irish Open where he couldn’t make the cut. This week he will be participating in the DP World Tour’s BMW PGA Championship being held at Wentworth Club, West Course. And while the event for this week will begin on Thursday, an old clip of Hatton from last year is doing the rounds.

The official page of DP World Tour on Instagram has shared last year’s throwback clip in which Hatton is trying to slowly drop a ball from a distance of a few inches. The ball did land in the intended place but the next moment it bounced to another place which was probably less favourable for the golfer.

In frustration, Tyrrell shakes his hand in frustration and screams “Argh” and his caddie starts laughing. For the fans who follow Hatton and are used to much worse, this kind of reaction is no surprise. Hatton has the habit of dropping F-bombs and throwing away his club in anger.

Hatton’s reaction to the small mess-up has generated a mixed response. While his fans still love him, there were numerous commenters who expressed that they have grown tired of his silly reactions.
One fan said that he would love to play with him. Clearly, they admire him for being totally unapologetic, for being himself. “I’d love to play a round with him lol.”
Another fan too found his little outburst entertaining. “Hatton never fails to entertain with rage 😂.” One user suggested he practice more and more, so that these mishaps don’t happen. “Need to practice your drops at the range – gutted if that was in a scramble.”
This user found this slip-up very entertaining. “Absolute gold.”  While there are some fans who have become tired of his whining. “No doubt he’s a good player. But that’s all. Not a prolific winner. Might even say he robs a living. Only “famous” now for being angry.”
