The famous music producer and rapper has never shied away from showing his love for golf. Recently, he even organized a charity event: the We The Best Foundation Golf Classic. The artist went on to win the event alongside none other than PGA sensation Michael Block. And now, following that epic victory, the American music producer is envisioning spending even more time on the course—as a pro!

After dominating the game at his charity event with Block, DJ Khaled has expressed the desire to take his love for golf forward. In an interview he had with Aishwarya Kurmar from ESPN, the musician made his intent clear. He wanted to pledge his career to golf and turn pro!

In the report, Kumar wrote, “Khaled, 47, is convinced he’ll help break down barriers in golf to make the sport more diverse—and that he’ll eventually play on the PGA Tour.” It seems like the DJ was intent on seeing through his long-held dream of playing on the PGA Tour, and he believed this would not only benefit him but also many others in the golf world.

Kumar added in the report that Khaled believed that even if his turning pro didn’t change anything for anyone, just seeing people of color play on a golf course would also be a lot of fun and hence, worth it. “There’s no fear of being told you’re too loud or that you’re doing too much, something that worries me in mostly white spaces,” he stated, reiterating his point that the sport needed more diversity.

Whether or not Khaled will ever be able to make it to the Tour only time will tell; however, this isn’t the first time he’s voiced this dream of his!
