However, he is now part of the Saudi League and is currently at Sentosa Golf Club for the LIV Golf Singapore event. Currently, very close to the top of the leaderboard, Garcia is keeping his fans entertained with his remarkable golfing skills. But there was someone else on the field who got her share of respect and happiness from the golf star in a unique manner. It was none other than famous journalist Julie Yoo.
The highly decorated news reader, who has been working with CNA for a long time, was present among the crowds, watching the game in Singapore. In fact, she has been sharing glimpses of the event on her Instagram stories for all her fans, including clips of Brooks Koepka’s and Bryson DeChambeau’s tee shots!

However, despite all the amazing things to look at on the field, Sergio Garcia’s heart-warming gesture took away all her attention. As per her Instagram story, Garcia gave her his signed ball as a sovereign to take home with her. “It made my day,” she wrote along with the picture, followed by the golfer’s brief response that said, “Vamos Singapore”, which roughly translates to “Let’s Go, Singapore.” Later, Garcia re-shared the story on his Instagram account as well.

Unlike most other players, Garcia had no shame in accepting that money indeed played an important role in his transition to LIV Golf. “Obviously they offered us good money and I’m not gonna hide that,” he said in an old press conference. However, he added how other factors like “having more time with the family” and “playing a little bit less” also equally affected his decision.
