After the end of the opening round of the 3M, Jacob Bridgeman from South Carolina carded nine birdies and a bogey for an 8-under 63. He is currently in a one-stroke lead over Mackenzie Hughes. While Patrick Rodger, Martin Trainer, and Andrew Novak are tied for the third position.

On the other hand, Billy Horschel, who had been leading the initial rounds at the Open Championship last week, had to withdraw just before teeing off because he got sick. Thursday was a whirlwind of ups and downs, and the 155 players will now have to make the cut to get a step closer to the trophy! Here is how the action play will take place in just a few hours today!

Only 70 out of the 155 players will be able to head to the penultimate round on Saturday at the TPC Twin Cities. The field will be opened by Henrik Norlander, Dylan Wu, and Max Greyserman at 6:45 AM EST on the front nine and Callum Tarren, Matti Schmid, and Mac Meissner at the back nine. Saving the best for last, Bridgeman will be teeing off with Neal Shipley and Trace Crowe at 2:11 p.m. EST. They are the second-last pair to tee off.

While half the players will begin teeing off from the front nine, the other half will be starting from the back nine, just like any other event. Every pair has eleven minutes to finish their round. Here is what the final field will look like:
