With an average drive distance of 254.93 yards and a driving accuracy of more than 70%. She is conquering the course from the tee shot itself.
For her tee shot, she uses the Ping G430 LST, which has a loft of 10.5 degrees. Earlier she was under contract with PXG, during which she used the TSi3 and TSR3. The change in the driver has allowed her to maintain accuracy as well as control off the tee. With the Mitsubishi Diamana GT 50S shaft, the golfer gets consistent long drives with a smooth performance.
After the tee shot, Ko prefers the Ping G430 Max 15 and 18-degree fairway woods. The woods offer great power generation with versatility, enhancing the ease of long approach shots in the tight fairways. Even for a better experience, she uses the Mitsubishi Diamana GT 60S shaft for improved balance of flexibility and stability. The selection of her clubs helps her clear the maximum course with the driver, fairway woods, hybrids, and irons. However, for the final shots, she prefers different brands for wedges and putters. Even her stats at the greens define why she prefers different clubs. As per the stats of LPGA, she putts 29.18 per round, while her greens in regulation percentage is 70.15.
She has been impressive with her game throughout and so has her equipment. As her wedge, she uses the Titleist Vokey Design SM9 with 46°, 49°, 54°, and 59° loft. These wedges are great with spin control and offer confidence to the player with a variety of shot options. Combined with the AeroTech SteelFiber fc80 shaft, Ko gets the ideal combination for the short-game scenario.
