As the oldest golf championship in the world, The Open is one of the most prestigious tournaments in the sport. Established in 1860, it was originally played annually at Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland before rotating between a select group of coastal links courses across the United Kingdom. HUGO BOSS has been an official patron partner of The Open since 2020, continuing its longstanding tradition of supporting golf, a relationship that dates back to 1985. It has helped several golfers with their sponsorship deals from Patrick Cantlay to Thomas Detry.

In fact, Martin Kaymer even opened his new brand after their support. After 50 years, the company split into two distinctive brands: HUGO and BOSS. The Boss launched its golf collection for the first time in February 2023. They currently have only two Korean ambassadors for the brand. Jang Yu Bin was their first golfer to come on board. They shared their first post with him on July 14, 2024.

And now, for the 2025 season, they announced Lydia Ko as their official brand ambassador. She has an exclusive apparel sponsorship contract with them from January 6, 2025. She shared a picture of herself with the signature lucky bag, and wrote, “Excited to join the @iamtom.kr family and rock their gear this year ✌️💛”.

Being the main athlete for BOSS takes her to the stratosphere. It’s a monumental deal for Ko who also signed a deal with ECCO Golf for footwear. They signed a partnership in 2017 and resigned the contract in 2021. Moreover, she said, “I’m delighted to be continuing my relationship with ECCO GOLF.”

Well, the 2025 season will indeed be a rather exciting one for her. She has not one, but two new sponsorships aligned for her this season. Everything looks promising for Lydia Ko.

Notably, Lydia Ko was recently named the new ambassador for the Hilton Grand Vacation for the 2025 season. The $3.9 billion sponsors the Tournament of Champions on the LPGA Tour. Lydia Ko defeated Alexa Pano last year by two strokes at the Lake Nona Golf Course to clinch the trophy.

In December, the HGV published a press release by Business Wire, which stated that the Kiwi professional appeared in several exclusive activities like private dinners, golf clinics, and meet and greets throughout the year.

“I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know the team at HGV and playing in the tournament for several years. It’s one of LPGA’s most unique and exciting events, and I’m thrilled to become an official part of the HGV brand ambassadors this year,” said Lydia.
