Apart from the game, there is something else that makes the golfer great, it’s his preference for clubs. Lucas Glover, who has been a professional for more than 2 decades, since 2001 has chosen some of the greatest clubs for his course presence. The 45-year-old won his last event in 2023 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. After which he went on a winless 2024 season.

Now, he entered with a strong comeback in 2025, with a T21 finish at the Sony Open and 7th after the third round at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Let’s take a look at his top preference for the course.

Until now, in 2025, the golfer achieved an average driving distance of 307.50 yards. To make sure the distance is achieved, and the ball stays on the fairway, the American professional uses the Titleist GT2 with 10 degrees loft and Fujikura Ventus Blue 7X shaft. The $650 driver offers an ideal balance to hit the tee shot with great forgiveness for maximum accuracy.

Along with that for the approach shot, Glover carries 3, 5, and 7-wood from Cobra. His Cobra Darkspeed LS 3-wood with 14.5 degrees @13.5 has a Fujikura Ventus Blue 8X shaft. While 5-wood Cobra Darkspeed X, 18 degrees @17, and 7-wood Cobra LTDx LS Prototype, 21 degrees @19.5 have Graphite Design Tour AD DI 8X shaft. The club’s traditional-sized profile and best weight distribution with forgiveness make it an ideal option at $200 each.

The 6 time PGA Tour winner has maintained his stats with over 3 birdies rate on average since 2017. For that to happen, he tries to reach greens early on and cover the fairways with his irons. In the bag, he carries two irons, including 4 and 5 respectively, from Srixon. Both Srixon ZX5 Mk II (4) and Srixon ZX7 Mk II (5-PW) have True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts. Apart from him, many professionals also prefer to use it, including Keegan Bradley, Sepp Straka, and Shane Lowry. The Srixon irons are preferred because of their lightweight and low vibration during impact. The $220 irons are great for reaching the greens with efficiency.

Lucas Glover’s preference for the final shots

The scoring average of Lucas Glover in 2025 is less than 71, making it under par overall. To do that, he has three wedges and a putter. For the wedge, he uses a Cleveland RTX 6 ZipCore Tour Rack with 52-10 MID, 56-12 FULL, and 60-12 FULL. The wedge offering superior accuracy with the best spin irrespective of lie makes it a great buy at $199 each.
