Looks like the year 2024 LPGA Tour is all set to be exciting as the women’s circuit is already breaking records even before the start of the season, coming up with a total purse prize of $118 million, a 69% increase from 2021. There will also be new events introduced and might also see fresh faces being crowned the champions for the same.
But before that, the LPGA Tour decided to ask the fans about their 2024 prediction and the golf fans burst with their favorite golfer’s name and claimed their next first win. Although, an iconic name like Nelly Korda was missing from the fan’s “bold predictions.”

2023 has ended with 33 events getting hosted on the LPGA Tour, with an overall increase from 2022. With the 2024 season starting in January, it will start a record-breaking season with newer events and more elevated purses for major and non-major events.
In 2023, the LPGA Tour saw golfers clinching their maiden victories like Lilia Vu who bagged four titles, including two majors, or when Amy Yang came out as the unpredictable winner of the season-ending event of LPGA, the CME Group Tour Championship.
On the topic of unpredictability, it was indeed a lackluster season for Lydia Ko and Nelly Korda, who could not win a single title in 2023 and would wish to break that unfortunate streak in the upcoming season. With the first event only 17 days away, the LPGA Tour wished its fans a Happy New Year through an Instagram post and asked them to state a “Bold prediction for 2024 LPGA Tour Season.”

There were many predictions made by fans and Ko’s triumphing in 2024 was one of them, but it was the eight-time LPGA Tour champion, Nelly Korda, who was surprisingly left out from the fans’ predictions list.
Fans predict 2024’s rising star while Nelly Korda gets sidelined
There were more than a dozen guesses made by fans when asked about the 2024 predictions for the LPGA Tour pros. Some wished for more events, while others were hoping their favorite pro may win a major, but amidst all the reactions, the LPGA’s cover girl, Nelly Korda’s name, was nowhere to be seen.
The former world no.1, Lydia Ko, had gone winless on the LPGA Tour in 2023 and fans were predicting she would break that drought by winning a major. One said, “@lydsko 1 major,” while another predicted she would go on to win the Olympic medal, saying, “Lydia will win Olympic gold to complete her set! 🏅🇳🇿.”
Another fan favorite was Celine Boutier. The French fans were predicting more major wins for the golfer as one prophesied, “🇫🇷the machine🇫🇷 will lead the Rolex ranking and win another major.”

One user was more precise with the predictions. They wanted Boutier to defend her Evian Championship title and said, “@celineboutier will continue to win this year! Back to back Evian? 💪🇫🇷.”
Another star on fans’ prediction list was Korean golfer Jenny Shin. The admirers were chiming in to predict her wins and see her in the top 10. This user said,
“Look out for that bad ass Jenny shin. Victory in 2024 and top 10 status ❤️🔥.”Lastly, the CME Globe Tour Championship winner, Amy Yang, was predicted to win again in the 2024 season and clinch her first major victory.
“I predict Amy Yang will win a Major,” one said.Among all the stars sailing high on the fans’ list, the missing name of the younger Korda sister comes off as a little unusual. Maybe a winless LPGA season had affected fans or Korda fans have not seen the post yet. Whatever the reason might be, may the best golfer win. What are your 2024 LPGA Tour predictions?
