One of the fans wrote, “Um, that’s not a good look….for anyone.” Sharing the concern of the news as canceling or rescheduling the event is something new, even for the fans. The golfers will be affected by the event having a $2 million prize pot, which does not happen often.
Even another fan joined in sharing his opinion about the event. He wrote, “Just get a new sponsor??!!,” On the other hand, a hopeful fan wrote, “’As scheduled’ is the key here. I’m confident there’s a solution to be found and this can be moved down the calendar this year.” The concern for the fans is true, but the legal complication in replacing the sponsors is a major task for the league. If the issue persists for a longer time, then we might get to see a new sponsor.
Another netizen also joined in writing, “Not good news. Hope it’s a one-off. Have a great 2025 season!! You still have a solid schedule and nice purses to offer.” The well-wisher of golf is expected to see the good in the schedule while wishing luck to the team for the 2025 calendar year.

Even one fan got into the shoes of the LPGA Tour and shared the embarrassment, “Man, you guys gotta get this shit figured out. I know your former comish was a total disaster, but stuff like this just cannot continue. I hope you’re embarrassed. I would be.” Ex-commissioner Mollie Marcoux was questioned for transparency, not utilizing the opportunity for women’s sports and other matters. However, with the concern that persists even after she parted ways, this will be tough for the interim commission Liz Moore to handle.
With the LPGA Tour, we are also hopeful that a solution for the event will be found soon. What are your thoughts on the unfortunate news? Let us know your opinion in the comments section below.
