Who is Bailey Tardy? 

Bailey Tardy is a professional golfer who hails from Georgia. She was born on August 8, 1996, and currently is 26 years old. She studied at the University of Georgia, and during her time there, in 2016 she was named SEC Freshman of the Year. 

The golfer is very close with her parents and gives them due credit for her success. She also has a pet dog named, Ramsey who she absolutely adores.

The golfer turned professional in 2018 and has been playing on the Epson Tour. In the fall of 2022, she finished in 2nd place at the LPGA Q-Series to earn her LPGA Tour Card for the 2023 season. To put it simply, the 2023 season is Tardy’s debut season on the LPGA Tour. 

A glimpse of Tardy’s amateur golfing career 

In 2015, the golfer won North and South Women’s Amateur Golf Championship. One of the most significant milestones of Tardy’s amateur career was gaining a wire-to-wire victory at the 2018 Georgia State Amateur Championship. The young golfer also qualified for the US Women’s Open in 2014, 2016, and 2017 as an amateur. Apart from these achievements, the 27-year-old was also a member of the 2016 Curtis Cup

Bailey Tardy’s accolades on the Epson Tour 

In 2018, she finished 144 holes at the 2018 LPGA Q-Series to first earn Epson Tour membership as a 2019 rookie. During her first year on the tour, she competed in 21 events and made 7 cuts. In the same year, she was able to record two top-10 finishes at the Zimmer Biomet Championship hosted by Nancy Lopez and The Forsyth Classic presented by the Decatur Park District.

In 2020, she competed in 10 events and made 8 cuts. She finished in the top 10 four times and was a runner-up finish at the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship. 

In 2021, her lone victory came at Copper Rock Championship. She again finished in the top 10 finished four times. She competed in 18 events that year and made 11 cuts. 

In 2022, the golfer was able to play in 21 events and make 12 cuts. She was again the season-best runner-up at the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout and recorded four top-10 finishes in the season. 

Her official career earnings on the Epson Tour are $200,599. In 2022, she was able to earn a membership card for competing in the 2023 season of the LPGA Tour. 

How has Tardy’s debut season on the LPGA Tour been so far? 

2023 has marked the debut season of the 26-year-old golfing prodigy. The golfer has competed in 11 events including the major champion at Pebble Beach. Her official prize money on the LPGA Tour so far has been $37,438.
