The charm that the Solheim Cup holds is like no other. Fans and golfers wait eagerly for the prestigious event every two years, and when it comes closer, the enthrallment and nervous jitters just go off the charts. This year’s Solheim Cup is extra special for the American squad, as they will be on a mission to redeem themselves and bring back the cup on American soil after two significant defeats.

All eyes are set on the American big star, Nelly Korda, as she bears the highest weight on her shoulder. She is making her third appearance in the Solheim Cup this year, and she is excited. However, this tournament will be different from her previous two as her sister, Jessica Korda, won’t be by her side on the course. The elder Korda sister recently shared her emotions about not being part of the grand stage.

The elder Korda sister has been part of the American squad for the Solheim Cup three times. She made her Solheim Cup debut in 2013, and then competed with her sister in 2019 and 2021. All three years, the Cup was won by the European squad, but that did not stop the 30-year-old from having the time of her life on the course.

This year, she has been on an extended hiatus for some time now because of persistent back issues, and around 3 weeks earlier, she announced her pregnancy with her first child. Her hiatus will continue for another chunk of an indefinite period.

The golfer recently shared a story on Instagram wherein an American squad player was practicing and a few of them were walking off the tee, dancing, and enjoying themselves. Expressing her emotions, she said that she will miss this feeling and vibe very much. She wrote in her story, “Going to miss this so much,” with American flag emojis.
