Current world no. 4 Nelly Korda gave a gift to her fans when she declared that she will be participating in the event at the last minute. Korda was out of the golf scene prior to her participation in last month’s KPMG Women’s PGA Championship where she missed the cut by a mile. Clearly, she will need more time before she turns the clock back on the course, after recovering from her injuries.

Meanwhile, her competitor Rose Zhang is making headlines all around. Praised by golf legend Annika Sorenstam for her impact on the game, last month Zhang made a historical achievement. With Mizuho Americas Open not only she turned professional but also became the second female golfer in history to win their debut tournament.
