Golf legend Annika Sorenstam is known for much more than simply her dedication to the sport. Though she is working hard to prepare for the upcoming US Women’s Open, she hasn’t forgotten to shake hands with a bunch of very important people.

The 52-year-old golfer was recently spotted spending the fourth of July with some highly-accomplished people. And her sweet gesture made her fans praise her unequivocally. Let’s see what exactly she did to celebrate the United States’ Independence Day.

Sorenstam is preparing for the US Women’s Open, to be held at Pebble Beach Golf Links from July 6-9. She is a three-time winner of the US Women’s Open, and she will be looking to come up with a decent performance. She is often on the golf course practicing hard in the lead-up to the tournament. On the Fourth of July, she also found time to experience some special moments with the United States Navy.

Yes, the GOAT celebrated July 4 with the US Navy pilots at the Pebble Beach Resorts. She was spotted greeting them with the same enthusiasm that she carries with her all the time. Sorenstam, who is a 10-time major champion, was accompanied by her family when she met the female team of the US Navy Pilots.

Her husband, Mike McGee, who is always been a big supporter of the golfer, immediately took to Twitter to share a video of her sweetheart’s sweet act. He also thanked the navy members in the caption, which read, “It was cool to see @annika59 greet this all female team of @USNavy pilots. Thanks to everyone serving in the armed forces! Freedom isn’t free! @uswomensopen @PebbleBeachGolf.”

Sorenstam’s act soon became a big hit with the fans.
