The US Women’s Open is scheduled to begin on July 6th at Pebble Beach Golf Links, CA, and it happens to be one of the oldest events of the LPGA Tour. More than 2000 golfers applied for the game this year, out of which 156 players will be vying for the title.

For 16 years straight, Thompson has participated in the US Women’s Open. The fact that the amazing golfer has a good chance of playing this year is obvious from this. Her career in this league officially began in 2007 for her. She was the youngest player to compete in the championship at that time. Lucy Li broke that mark in 2014, though.
