The weather has been a matter of concern for the 2024 golf season so far, especially with the PGA Tour events. Events such as the WM Phoenix Open, Puerto Rico Open, and Valspar Championship became victims of poor weather. With the weather gods cursing the PGA Tour, will it extend to the sister tour as well for the coming weekend?
The Ford Championship presented by KCC on the LPGA Tour is just around the corner. The event is scheduled for March 28–31 at Seville Golf & Country Club, with a field of 144 players. The golf course offers terrific views and challenging play for golfers. Names like Lilia Vu, world No. 1 Nelly Korda, and others will be competing for a $2 million purse. With Korda coming fresh from two consecutive wins in her last two appearances, all the eyes will surely be on her. Will her and others performance be hindered by the weather?

A lot of factors affect how the ball travels on the course, like temperature, precipitation, and wind speed. The golfers need to pay attention to these factors before hitting the ball. According to the weather forecast by AccuWeather, on the game’s first day, the morning will start at 24° with an ESE 11 km/h wind speed and humidity levels of 41%.
Later, with a slight increase in the temperature, it will rest at 28° with partly cloudy skies. There will be 29% humidity in the air, with a wind speed of SSE 13 km/h; however, by the night, the temperature will fall to be around 19°W, with an increased humidity level of 36%.
Fortunately, on Friday the weather will show some mercy on the course and will remain sunny; it will begin at 25° in the morning, and the wind will blow from SW at the speed of 7 km/h with a 35% humidity level. However, there will be no chance of it pouring. At noon, there will be a temperature rise to 28°, similar to Thursday. The wind situation will be WSW (17 km/h) with 16% humidity.
In the evening, the temperature will drop to 20°, winds will blow at 11 km/h from the SW, and the weather will remain mostly clear. Luckily, the weather will remain calm during the first two days of the championship, but will it let the championship finish in peace or not?

Saturday’s round will start with a partly cloudy situation; the temperature will be 24°, and winds will remain at 13 km/h with a level of humidity of 27%. The clouds will cover the sky throughout the day with a slight rise in the temperature at noon of 27°, and there will be a change in wind speed as well, which will blow in from south at the speed of 19 km/h.
The temperature will fall to 19°, with the skies continuing to be cloudy. There are no chances of rain on Saturday until the evening but during late night, there might be some rainfall.

It looks like the weather waited till the last day of the championship to get to bring in the curse. On Sunday the temperature at the start will be 26°. The day is expected to be windy and cloudy. The rain showers of around 3.8 mm are expected during the day, along with the wind blowing at 17 km/h.
The afternoon is expected to be rainy too with winds getting comparatively slower at 13 km/h wind speed and a humidity at 44%. The humidity towards the end of the day is expected to increase drastically at be at 55%.

The last rounds of the tournament will mostly be facing the trouble caused by Mother Nature; however, how far the golfers can go is yet to be seen. Fingers Crossed!
