It was quite unexpected that the LPGA Tour’s Instagram page would post an ASMR video, but they did. And the video justified the ‘ASMR’ in the title as well. The video of Nelly Korda in the middle of the rain captured the sound of the weather at PNW in good definition, pulling your spirit into the screen.
However, the beautiful imagery and the mesmerizing sounds did not distract Nelly Korda’s fans. They stayed focused on how the harsh weather was probably making it hard for her to play. They keenly raised their concern over the unfair gods of rain and thunder. Overall, Korda’s fans had some fun, heartwarming, and nice ways to react to the video.

In the video, it rained quite hard, as Nelly Korda took a powerful swing at the ball sitting on top of the tee cup. Drenching in the rain, the charismatic Korda didn’t really seem to notice the harsh weather at all. She diligently focused on her swing and kept eyeing the ball as it soared away from her.
The sound details were quite sharp and one could hear the full sound of a heavy rain filling the ears. Although the light was quite bright and didn’t make the course scary dark, the vibe of the situation was quite rainy.
In the post-round conference after round 1 of the Portland Classic, Korda shared how it was difficult for her to play in the rain. Seeing the video on getting why she said that. It was no mild drizzle to any extent.

The 25-year-old has been recovering from an injury in the past few months, and she showed a lot of resilience considering the circumstances. With a score of 65 in the first round, hopes are up for Korda’s fans to further the score in the coming rounds.
The rain gods should favor the young lady in her pursuit of a win. Notably, Nelly Korda’s last title win was in November, at the Gainbridge tournament, in 2022. Hopefully, she will bag another title pretty soon.
Now, let’s move on to how Korda’s fans expressed their heartfelt concern and care for the poster girl of LPGA.
Fans seem to know the Korda sisters well
Although there were quite a few comments discussing the timing of the rain, and praising Nelly’s swing and talent and whatnot, there was one reaction that stood out in the comment section. But we will get to that in a while.
This first comment on the list is quite witty. The commenter points out how PNW (Pacific NorthWest) is popular for its overcast weather and how you don’t there to tan but you might rust over there in the water.
“it’s raining in PNW? really? you don’t tan in the PNW, you rust.”
Although a rain-prone region, looks like it’s still not time for the rains to drop there yet.
“It is still August!! Way too early for rain in the PNW.”
The speed at which Nelly Korda swung her club must have impressed this fan, and they didn’t hesitate to express their admiration for her.
“No need for lightning!”
A sharp observer pointed out how she was playing with her feet inside a pair of spikeless shoes.
“Spikeless Nikes in that rain is wild! Her balance is amazing.”
It is a sweet and adorable gesture to call someone a hero and this commenter did that for their golf idol Korda.
“My hero.”

Moving on to the highlight of the comment section, this comment explained how the Korda girls are sensitive to cold weather.
“Korda girls don’t like the cold. They prefer warm or hot so don’t take nelly on any parlay cards lol”
Fun banter aside, a comeback from the golf queen would be timely now. We hope the rains lead up to her rising to the occasion and bagging a title win at the ongoing Portland Classic.
