One of the main striking aspects of the Grant Thornton Invitational is the co-ed team play format of the event. What’s more, pairing up the likes of Korda with Tony Finau in a bid to compete for the prize purse of $4 million and the inaugural trophy has surely hyped up the community. However, with just a couple of days left for the tournament, the female was spotted practicing on the greens without her partner.
An Instagram post was uploaded by the 25-year-old a little while back. The series of three videos along with a snap showcases the 1X major champ playing golf on the greens with her brother and Tennis star Sebastian Korda as she warms up for the upcoming tournament co-sanctioned by the LPGA and the PGA Tours.
The 2021 Women’s PGA Championship winner teed off her ball in the first video, followed by her brother driving his in the second. However, the post was shared with the caption, “seb can’t hang,” all the while referring to the third recording of the post unveiling her sibling who is passed out on the couch instead of hanging out with her.

While the World No. 4 expresses her determination to showcase her skills on the greens, one can’t help but wonder where her partner is, who was last spotted at the Hero World Challenge and has said nothing about the mixed-team competition. Moreover, curiosity naturally arises regarding Finau and his compatibility with the female pro as they team up with each other for the upcoming event.

Korda and Finau – a pair to be feared for?
Although the 25-year-old had a bumpy year with just one win in the LET at the Aramco Team Series London, she had cemented her place in the top ranks through her amazing skills on the course. Despite the fact that Korda had zero wins on the LPGA Tour, her finishes in the tournaments she played, especially at the recent events have indubitably led her to become a threat to the other golfers on the greens.

Moreover, she has teamed up with Finau, who has a total of four top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour this year, including the most recent T4 placement at the Tiger Woods-hosted tournament. The duo would, no doubt, be a force to be reckoned with for the rest of the field as they take to the Tiburon Golf Club in Naples. And thus, the golfing community is sure in for an exciting treat this weekend!
