Not With Her Golfing, but ‘So Rad’ Michelle Wie West, 34, Touches Fans Deeply With the Second Phase of Her Life

The idea of traveling brings joy to the minds of many. Moreover, for an athlete such as a golfer, one needs to be able to enjoy the same as they need to be on the move most of the time. However, it is much different in the case of a retired player like Michelle Wie West.

The athlete called a stop to her professional career to take care of her family, especially her daughter, among other things. However, this has not stopped her from enjoying her life off the course as she shared an update on her social media handle, a little while back, giving us a peek of her retired life, surprising many!

It seems retirement has been treating West well. The golfer was able to embark on a new journey following her exit from the game. And, in a reveal to her fans, she shared an Instagram post of her travel guide to the city of Los Angeles, where the American is currently residing.

In the video that was posted, the golfer, in a partnership with Delta Air Lines, shared her “delta travel guide to LA.” Adding on to the same, the ex-pro urged her followers to check out her “favorite spots around the city I(West) call home.” 

The 5X LPGA Tour champ started off with the West Valley Nursery where she gets her “favorite flowers and veggies,” a hobby she picked up after retirement. Following this, the athlete visited Metalwood, her “go-to-golf accessory” store in LA followed by Juliana where she usually had her best post-round dinners. After this, the 34-year-old ended the video by visiting Tapia Bros, a place where the produce was picked directly from the farms, making it a healthy choice.

But what was surprising was the amount of responses the video received. Even the golfer wouldn’t have realized that the post she uploaded on her handle would have garnered such a reaction from her followers.

A lot of people went ahead to respond to the ex-pro’s video as she took to her Instagram handle to share a peek of her retirement life. There were reactions that ranged from wishes for the athlete to those including compliments for her. Let us take a look at some of those comments.

Many followers missed seeing the golfer on the course. Hence, such a video acted as a door that opened to their idol’s life. And so, a fan went ahead to express his gladness over the same. “I am glad to see you are doing so well. and woo healthy.”

A lot of people were very happy with the travel guide shared by the athlete. However, one person did point out the impracticality of seeing everything in a single day, while taking a subtle jab. “LA; “YES!!!!!! Except you can’t do it all in one day with the traffic.” 

It is not surprising to see many fans unable to keep their cool as they expressed their excitement over West and her video. And, a follower did showcase his approval for the golfer and her style as he commented, “so rad.”

Another fan with a sense of style. This time they did go all out to point out how the attire worn by the American was nothing short of awesome. Well, see for yourself. “All I know is that smile shirt: sweater goes hard.”

A fan brought up a place that is also a must-visit. “metalwoodstudio is a must stop in LA!!” An animal lover in the comments! This time a fan expressed his love for the four-legger that came at the end of the video. “Love that goat!”
