These days you can’t even golf in peace. Just kidding, you can as long as you don’t have pranksters for partners. So here is what happened. LGPA Tour legend, Michelle Wie West just came back after hitting her shot. Her playing mates were sitting waiting for her on the cart. But they were actually waiting to pull off a prank on her. And catch her reaction live on camera. Wie West didn’t disappoint.
Her playing mate put a rubber snake just by her cart. Wie West didn’t notice at first. She came and was chatting with them while putting her clubs inside the bag. We should praise the person who recorded it as well for concealing the camera, and yet capturing her reaction. The one-time major winner didn’t for once guess she was being recorded.
It was all going well until her eyes caught the venomous little creature just near her legs. “OH MY GOD!” she yelled and jumped out scared. Well, it took only a few seconds (and some laughs from her playing mates) for her to realize what happened. She has been fooled. Jeff Fujimoto shared the clip on his Instagram handle captioning. “YES!!! We got her!!!”. The Stanford alum also shared it in her story, writing “Got me gooood!!!”

Well, guess who was the mastermind of this? A certain 23-time Olympic Gold Medal winner who goes by the name Michael Phelps. The camera panned towards him and Phelps shouted, “Got’em.” It’s worth checking out, so we recommend you watch it on West’s Instagram story itself. The Flying Fish is an avid golfer who has teed off with some of the iconic golfers and he is really good at it. He is good at pulling off some pranks as well. This also shows the deep friendship the two enjoy.

When Michelle Wie West surprised Michael Phelps with a gift
Michael Phelps surely didn’t expect this one. He was getting into Golf, and using his Olympic Gold Medal as a ball-marker. But that an ace golfer like West would take notice and send him a gift wasn’t in his idea. But Michelle Wie West did just that early this year. The Stanford alum collaborated with Nike to design a sneaker.
It was for the 2024 ANWA/Masters special edition. The theme as West revealed on her Instagram post was ‘Metamorphosis’. A pair of those West-designed shoes reached straight to Michael Phelps in his sprawling Paradise Valley mansion.

The Baltimore Bullet shared a picture of those sneakers on his Instagram story captioning, “Thanks @michellewiewest. I feel like a kid in a candy store.” We don’t know if the legendary Olympian sported those very same sneakers while pranking Michelle Wie West. Now, that would be quite the story, wouldn’t it? This is something Phelps would definitely tell his kids about.
