Nelly Korda triumphed the greens at the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship. In her 10th career victory and second win of the 2024 LPGA Tour season, she defeated Ryann O’Toole in a one-hole playoff after finishing on bogey after bogey. After her sensational back to back wins, first at the LPGA Drive On Championship, and now Seri Pak Championship, she is now at No. 1 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, for the sixth time in her career. The last time she held this position was in 2023, that for a brief period.

After her win, she has again become a fan-favorite. Last year, she seemed to be facing troubles with her swing, and hence started to get better under the mentorship of Jason Baile. She is now reaping the results of the better swing, and definitely better putting too under the tutelage of Eric Dietrich who claimed that Korda was getting better. The champion’s swings seem to be getting very precise with zero unnecessary moves. As per the recent post Flushing It, this sure is the consensus. The Twitter page shared a video on its social media account appreciating Korda’s swing, and it looked like a perfect shot.

Korda’s secret to her success is her casual approach to the sport. She does her best and keeps her focus on enjoying the thrill of the game rather than worrying about adding one more name to her resume. She believes that, in the end, everything happens for a reason. She is always ready to take on the challenges as they come, and along with it, she puts her heart and soul into golf because she loves it. “I just think it’s so much fun competing. There is nothing better than that adrenaline rush coming down your last couple of holes when you’re in the lead,” said Korda.

Before winning the Fir Hills event, Korda had put away her club for almost 4 weeks, and spent some time with her family, and her newborn nephew. The result she got of the break was definitely worth it!  The new world no. 1 golfer has a pool of fans who are pouring in their love for her and about how amazed they are by her talent.

Similarly, many fans are coming forward to praise the golfer’s magic swings. One golf fan commented on the Twitter post, “It’s truly a blueprint for a swing for all to admire!” This person analyzed the balance and rhythm in the world champion’s swing and praised. Many fans can sure learn from the younger Korda sister about bouncing back on the greens, as she did after 14 months in January by getting better at her game.

Another golf fan suggested that Korda’s athletic abilities come directly from her father, Petr Korda, as he was a popular tennis player of his time. The entire Korda family is into sports with her siblings (Jessica Korda and Sebastian Korda) being a golfer, and a tennis player. Her mother, Regina, was also a professional tennis player. “Her dad won a grand slam in tennis, and great sporting prowess is in the genes.” Indeed! That is true. 

Korda’s efforts from last year, and her perseverance is finally reaping the desired results. There was once a time when her back was in pain, and she could not as smoothly as she wanted to. But now she has overcame all her hardships, and she is back to being a force to be reckoned with on the greens that she always has been. One golf enthusiast was unable to believe the fluidity of the LPGA star’s swing and they commented “It’s ridiculous how smooth that is.” 

The next fan pointed out how much the balance between physical and mental health is necessary to achieve success. The level of training with her new coaches Korda has been through has now turned her into a world champion. She also spent a lot of time getting fitter and better during her break, and it truly showed. He supported his opinion by stating, “Nelly has a phenomenal physique to be able to play the game at the highest level, coupled with the right mental aptitude and training, of course.”
