The world’s No. 1 female golfer, Nelly Korda, is ready for another golf adventure. The LPGA Tour player has already displayed tremendous potential on the course with her four consecutive victories this year. After her win, and taking some time off to recharge, the golfer is now ready to tee off again, this time at a much bigger stage.
Nelly Korda will hit some balls in Texas at the first major event of the 2024 LPGA Tour season from April 17th to 21st in the Chevron Championship. This will be held at the club at Carlton Woods, with a rich purse of $5.2 million. Again, the golf world will watch Korda closely on the greens following her successful journey.

Is Nelly Korda ready to rock the 2024 Chevron Championship?
She won her first major in 2021, effectively defeating the entire field at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship when she was only 23. The American golfer holed out with a 7-wood from 243 yards for a tap-in eagle, used the length of her trademark graceful swing, and gained another eagle that led her to victory. Still just 25 years old, Korda got comfortable with being at the top of the leaderboard.
Last year, Korda had a solo T3 finish at the Chevron Championship, thanks to her overall score of 9 under. In 2022, Korda missed the Chevron Championship owing to her health struggles. In March, she was diagnosed with various blood clots near her heart that had swollen her arm. Overcoming the struggles and her winless 2023 drought, she is now back and more ready than ever.

Her unique perspective and approach to the sport are the secret behind her success. Korda believes in taking one tournament at a time. “I have been a professional golfer since 2016, and when you get ahead of yourself, it’s just never going to be positive,” said Nelly Korda. The young lady pampered herself with a vacation after her recent win and escaped to Lido Beach, Florida. All charged up to electrify the first women’s major. However, the hard truth is that Korda has to put in extra effort into facing the challenge at the 2024 Chevron Championship.
