The Solheim Cup brought a lot of drama to the golf world as it saw an exciting finish for the European team, including Charley Hull. Even though she could only put up a sub-par performance due to an injury to her neck, it had not stopped her team from reigning dominant against their American rivals.
The neck injury, in a way, worsened her already bad health condition, as Hull had been diagnosed with ADHD earlier this year. But now, ahead of the Ascendant LPGA Benefiting Volunteers of America, the golfer has shared an update on her medical condition—a “weird” one at that!

The English professional had earlier disclosed in an interview, after her amazing performance at the US Open this year, that she had been diagnosed with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). However, she had been working on improving her health condition, leading to her appearance at the biennial event, where she again suffered from a problem with her neck and back.
In a press conference ahead of the $1.8 million event, the 2X LPGA Tour champ divulged aspects regarding her diagnosis as she conveyed how impatient she is when it comes to random things. Revealing the “good things about ADHD” and its effect on her game, the 2022 Volunteers of America Classic winner said, “It’s weird, like little things in my golf swing; if my coach gives me a drill to do, I can get it straightaway… I get things pretty quickly.”
Moreover, the professional also alluded to how she is “very restless” at times and “always have to be doing something,” while “sometimes she “can sleep for a day without waking up.” Nevertheless, the Englishwoman made sure to point out how she “took some time off and addressed the issue,” leading her to understand the triggers and work on them.
This was surprisingly not the first time that the 27-year-old had revealed updates on her mental health struggles, and this year alone at that. She had also dubbed it a significant deciding factor ahead of the Solheim Cup.

Hull’s pre-Solheim Cup update on her mental health
The 3X LET champ had opened up about her condition in an interview as she explained how she can now understand why the professional gets bored on the golf course in the midst of a game. Adding to her explanation, Hull had also mentioned how playing at tournaments like the US Open, where she finished as a runner-up with a score of, was therapeutic for her.

The golfer was able to concentrate better since she had found her triggers. Moreover, the Englishwoman believed that she was making much improvement on the struggles that were making an impact on the pro’s game.
