The 2022–23 golf season has been nothing short of tremendous and memorable for Megan Khang. The highlight of her season came in August when she secured her first victory on the LPGA Tour, marking a significant milestone in her flourishing career. Khang has been making waves on the LPGA Tour since turning professional in 2015.

The 26-year-old from Massachusetts is the first player of Hmong and Laotian descent to play on the LPGA Tour and has been steadily climbing the ranks with her consistent and impressive performances. With an impressive 2023, let us take a look at her earnings for the season!

How much prize money did Megan Khang win in 2023?

2023 was nothing short of a breakthrough moment for her career. Megan Khang‘s season started in February when she participated in the Honda LPGA Thailand. Unfortunately, she finished in 38th place and earned just $9,200. She won her LPGA Tour’s maiden title at the CPKC Women’s Open in Canada. She beat former world number one Jin Young Ko with a par in a playoff. The young golfer earned a whopping $375,000 from her career’s first LPGA win, making the sum extra special.

This year, she competed in all the majors and had impressive finishes except in one tournament. In April, she finished in the ninth position on the leaderboard and earned $111,615. Then in June, she participated in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, finished in third place, and earned $423,070. This marked her highest earnings of the season. At the US Women’s Open, she sadly failed to make the cut and hence earned nothing. At the Amundi Evian Championship in July, she took home $122,100 by finishing at T9. In October, at the AIG Women’s Open, she finished in the 30th spot and made $61,626. Her overall earnings from the major tournaments this year were indeed impressive.

Other than spectacular major finishes, she also had a few more Top 20 finishes in 2023. She earned $26,233 by finishing in the 13th spot at the DIO Implant LA Open. At the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational, she finished as the 13th golfer and earned a check for $23,005. Khang then made $51,851 from the Portland Classic as she ended the tournament in sixth place. Finishing the tournaments at T9 and T7 at the Maybank Championship and the ANNIKA, respectively, she earned a combined sum of $143,079.

The LPGA sensation’s lowest earnings of the season came in June at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give, wherein she just earned $7,566 from her T54 finish. Overall, in 2023, with her tremendous performance, she earned a hefty sum of $1,486,310 and is at the 18th spot Official Money List. Her earnings this year were more than what she earned the previous year by $461,305. In 2022, Khang earned $1,025,005.
